Raimi and I were recently in Salem, Va and ventured around with the Carhartt WJ130 women's jacket. We found a cleaners that opened in 1935 and use to employ over 100 people dry cleaning shirts for $1.50. All the original presses, washers and hanging racks are still inside the factory even though the 24,000 square foot building has been closed for years. There is no telling how many hard working blue collar workers wore carhartt inside this laundry and rug factory. While this factory may have closed the carhartt name lives on and continues it's long standing legacy of the best work wear brand.
